Stupid Girls

My first reaction was to laugh when Carmen told me that Kay and Cindy were evil. I knew they didn't get along all that well but it was the first time that Carmen had ever said anything bad about anything that she worked with, as far as I've heard.

"It's not funny," she insisted. "They are evil!"

"Don't worry about them," I told her. "There's nothing they can do to ruin my relationship with Sara."

"No," she slapped her hand against the door as I moved to close it. "I overheard them talking about you, your girlfriend and how they thought it was wrong that you were 'wasting' your time with her."

Again, I told her not to worry about Sara or me as I tried to get her to leave so I could finish up and go to Sara's.

"Kit was suppose to steal your cell tonight Tanner! They were talking about calling your girlfriend and telling her that you've been staying late at work, not because you are working but because you are fooling around with the two of them."

"That's fucking bullshit!" I snapped at her.

Carmen flinched. "I'm just telling you what they plan to do." She removed her hand from the door and stepped back. "I hope your girlfriend is smart enough to know what lying little sluts Cindy and Kay are."

"Sara is smart enough." I said it and I believe she is smart enough but in the back of my mind I was worried that she would believe whatever it was that Cindy or Kay would say to her. I had to call her and find out if anything happened.

Before I picked up the office phone to dial Sara's number, I checked the pocket of my jacket to see if Carmen was right. She was, my cell was missing.

"Come on, come on." I muttered as the phone against my ear rang on the other side of the line. After four rings, there was a click and a slight pause before her voice mail picked up. "Damnit!" I cursed as I rammed my finger against the button to hang up the phone.

I ended up called her cell, Billy's phone and cell but there was no answer at either one of those either so I was a little worried by the time I had finally finished my paperwork and locked up for the night - I wasn't sure what would greet me when I arrived at Sara's place.

A block away from Sara's place, my stomach started growling furiously so by the time I actually pulled into an empty spot on the street by her place, I felt like I never had a bite to eat at all that day. I followed the smell around the side of the house and through the chain link fence that separated Sara's back yard from her neighbours.

When I turned the corner, I spotted Sara at the grill with her back towards me. She was off in her own little world, you could tell. She was singing and bopping along with the music as she checked the meat she had sizzling on the grill. I went to her, I wanted to get the whole Kay and Cindy thing over with so that we could have a great night together.

On my way across the yard, I paused briefly to say 'hello' to Billy and Cal, who were having a beer as they sat together on a blanket on the grass. Billy told me there were more beers in the fridge. Nodding, I thanked him, not really caring for a beer at the moment.

"Sara is really happy about tonight," he told me as I turned to leave. "She's been bouncing all over the place all day." With a smile, he said that it was great to see her finally happy. "She's been down for so long, it was hard to watch."

As I walked away, I saw Sara watching me with a smile on her face; I couldn't help becoming pissed off thinking that her happiness may be ruined by a couple a immature little brats.

"Hey Tanner," Sara came at me with her arms raised. "I'm so glad you are here," she sighed against my neck as she wrapped her arms around me.

"Me too." I kissed her neck and then pulled back. "We need to talk about something."

"Oh?" She raised a brow.

"Yeah."

"Ok," she grabbed my hand and turned away from me. "Let's go inside."

"Sounds good," I replied absently as I wondered how I could tell her about the girls without it sounding like something was up.

When she lead me into the kitchen, she walked over to the counter where her phone was sitting. I watched curiously as she dialed a three digit number and the voice mail message came on. "What are you doing?"

"Just listen," she shushed me as she entered her passcode.

As she turned around to face me, the girls' voices filled the room. Sara stared straight at me as Cindy and Kay told lied upon lie about how I supposedly hit on them at work and promised huge financial rewards if they would suck my cock and let me fuck the two of them. They were so good at lying that I almost believed the bullshit they sprouted.

Once the message was over, Sara disconnected the line and crossed her arms over her chest. I couldn't read the expression on her face. I had no idea if she believed them or not.

"Sara it's -" I started towards her but she held up her hands to stop me. "It's not true," I told her as firmly as I could. "You know I wouldn't do that to you."

The worst feeling in the world came over me as she broke eye contact and looked away.

"Sara, honey," I took a step forward. She let me get close enough to touch her arm but she didn't stay where she was long enough for me to take her in my arms.

I thought for sure that I was in the doghouse as I watched her walk towards the back door. "You know," she paused but didn't turn around. "I thought all the juvenile drama was behind me but..." she glanced at me. "I guess it's not."

"I didn't do it Sara."

She nodded, "I know Tanner."

"You do?" I couldn't help the surprised element in my voice - she was acting like she believed it.

"Of course I do," she flashed me a smile. "You aren't that much of a pig."

"Gee thanks," I replied sarcastically.

"No problem," she chuckled and held out her hand. "Coming to get something to eat?"

I crossed the room in a second flat. "Are you on the menu?" I asked as I nibbled on her neck.

"Maybe."

"Maybe?"

"Mmhmm," she groaned. "If you are good."

Her hands clung to my arms while my lips moved against her neck, which was nice, but it was her ass wiggling against my crotch that made me almost say the hell with eating.

"Come on," she said breathlessly and pulled away from me. She led me back out to the yard. She stopped to check on the food before continuing on to the other blanket that was spread out on the grass across from Billy and Cal.

I sat down, got comfortable as Sara hurried back to the grill. She insisted that she didn't need any help, so as she gathered all the food she made for the BBQ and brought it over, I relaxed on the blanket with the beer she handed me and made conversation with the guys.

When she finally settled down next to me, she turned and handed me a piece of paper with a name and number on it. "What's this?" I asked as I read, 'Anna's cell ***-****'.

"That's Anna's number," she reached for the bowl of macaroni salad Billy was holding out over the blanket.

"Who's Anna?"

She gave me a funny look. "Infants department manager," she informed me. "Call her."

tanner needs to call beverly before they call her and lie to her too! he needs to have sara keep that message so he can replay it for her and she can fire them! also, he needs to fire a sexual harassment clause cus that's definately some shit no one should deal with!!! i know this is a fictional story and all but i totally believe fictional justice should be served on their bitch asses. i'm still a teenager and i worked in a fast food restaurant and i would never in a MILLION YEARS! ever think of doing that! what crazy little whores!
